ANNEX F - SAR NIF Applicants Checklist

SAR NIF Applicants are encouraged to use the following checklist to ensure that their application package is complete. Incomplete applications will not be considered for funding. All applications must include the following in order to be considered for SAR NIF funding:

The SAR NIF Application:

• Sections 1 to 16 of the Application Form (Annex C) completed;
  
  
• Section 17 of the Application Form (Annex C), signed and dated;
  
  
• Section 18 of the SAR NIF Budget Form (Annex D) completed; and
  
  
• Section 19 of the SAR NIF Project Plan Detail Form (Annex E) completed.

Supporting Documents

• Recognized National, Provincial and Territorial SAR Volunteer Associations must provide a letter of support from the Federal, Provincial or Territorial Partner of jurisdiction, signed and dated; and
  
  
• Letters of support for all in-kind and cash contributions, signed and dated (every dollar of In-kind or cash contribution must be backed up by a signed letter of support).

It is strongly encouraged to submit other letters of support (e.g. letters for sustainability, letters of support for the project without cash or in-kind contributions, etc.)

Furthermore, applications for Research and Development projects must include:

• A separate R&D Proposal (e.g. Abstract); and
  
  
• Curriculum Vitae of Principal participants (e.g. Project Manager, Chief Scientists).

The deadline for submitting applications to the NSS is Friday, August 26, 2011 ET. Applications received after this date will not be considered for SAR NIF Funding.

IMPORTANT: Supporting Federal Departments/Agencies and Provincial/Territorial Governments may have their own deadline for submitting to them prior to the NSS. It is the responsibility of the applicant to inquire about these dates.
